Delete Account – Imao App

Imao is a social commerce platform that connects buyers, resellers, and original sellers. Users can request deletion of their Imao account and associated personal data at any time.
How to request account deletion
Option 1: In-app deletion
Open the Imao mobile app
Go to Profile
Tab on the menu nav button
Tap Delete Account
Confirm your request
Option 2: Email request
Send an email to support@imao.store with the following details:
Subject: Account Deletion Request
Registered email address or phone number
Imao username
Our support team will verify the request and begin the deletion process.
Data that will be deleted
Once your deletion request is processed, the following data will be permanently deleted from Imao systems:
Personal profile information (name, email address, phone number)
Login credentials and authentication data
Buyer, reseller, or seller account details
Chat messages between buyers and resellers
Delivery information and saved addresses
Wallet balance and linked payment information (where applicable)
Data retention
For legal, regulatory, and fraud-prevention purposes, certain data may be retained after account deletion, including:
Transaction and payment records
Order and payout history required for accounting or compliance
This retained data will be stored securely and kept for up to 7 years, after which it will be permanently deleted in accordance with applicable laws.
Processing time
Account deletion requests are typically processed within 1–3 business days. Once completed, the account cannot be recovered.
